The vet brought me the most delicious muffins.

Hello friends. I have enough leftovers for the day but now I´m eating some delicious and huge muffins that Karla brought me. The have small half melted chocolate chips and they are not dry (I hate dry muffins). I called the place where they made the cancer cheek procedure with a special surgery and it is very expensive. I will have to talk it over with the dermatologist and with my doctor friend. After all, I have no suitors at this time of my life. I don´t need perfection. I have other procedures in the near future so I don´t want to spend all my scarce money in a tiny cut and paste. What do you think? What would you do?

I agree with Fleur, hard to suggest without knowing if there are less expensive alternatives. Just take care of your health.

The 3 other carcinomas I have had were taken out by a normal procedure. Now there is a more exquisite one. The normal one costs a fourth of the other. I just decided that I would have the normal one. I have several other appointments for doctors and I don´t want to spend all my money on my cheek. After all, I´m 76.

@LadyDuck There are now lots of creams and tapes so that the scars leave.

@marguicha - I agree with you that what is important is to get rid of the carcinoma and the less expensive option will be fine.

If a place on your skin is cancer, it should be removed. Afterwards, the wound will heal up given time. Your muffins sound delicious, I don't like dry muffins either.

I agree. After I learned about the price I sent a letter to the doctor. I want to talk to her.

@kobesbuddy Daniela (the doctor) replied immediatly to my e mail and she said that it could be done in the old way. I only sent her back a hug by mail

@marguicha One doctor charged me $400 to say, "You are doing just fine!" I wasn't happy.

The doctor and I decided she would do it "the conventional" way.

It's hard to know what I'd do. I guess I wouldn't be keen on too big a scar.

That was nice of Karla to bring you some muffins. I would go ahead and get the expensive procedure done. Just my opinion.

That is very nice. I would not think at all, I would eat muffins. Not sure about the doctors and all that. Best of luck to you there.

That's a difficult question. It's hard to suggest without knowing about the alternatives - perfection or - what? I must be missing something here but who is the vet? And is it a British vet (an animal doctor) or an American vet (ex-military)?

The vet is Luna´s doctor. Luna is my dog. Karla comes to see her at my house and I invite her for lunch. Perfection has to do with the carcinoma I have on my cheek.

@marguicha Oh I see, our kind of vet. Yes I understood about the carcinoma. But what I meant was - you have the choice between very expensive perfection or.....?
