Haven’t been here in forever

United States

It’s been years (I think?) since I’ve been on mylot. I forgot how much I missed the discussions here and seeing what people were up to while engaging in meaningful conversations that really stirred up the heart and mind. Hoping to see and be a part of that again. Fingers crossed.

Looks like the last time you were here was in 2017. That is a long break. Good to see you back.

Glad you came back. I'm addicted to Mylot and other than the first few years have been here most of the time since 2015.

I used to be addicted back in the day. When Mylot redid their design, I stopped coming by so much, and then it just faded away altogether. I kept thinking about this place the last few days which led me back here. Hoping that addiction returns.

Maybe it will. There are some really kool members now but I think many of them are dealing with winter storms and problems that causes.

Good luck with that. For the most part, people are mostly the same.

@Firestorm0122 I totally understand. I did the same when I came back about two years ago. Nice side gig to get a little money and I'm happy with the progress. So, that's something to be thankful for.

Welcome back. Many people take breaks. I took three years off and then another six years. I returned last June. It's a different place than other SM sites. More real and more like a community. It's more of a blog or diary forum but good discussions are still common. It is much slower paced than it was a decade ago. I hope you have fun in your return.

Thanks! I don’t know what made me take a break from it, though I suspect I got too addicted to Twitter. I know some things on this site changed, and I have to relearn how to find discussions again. Do you think the pacing of this site will ever pick up again like it once was?

@Firestorm0122 I doubt it to be honest but that's ok with me. There are some busy moments here, but it's not the thirty new discussions an hour kind of place it once was. I went to all the other places that were fast paced but I grew tired of all the division and hate. The trash talking members so common at FB and Twitter are almost non existent here. It's a friendly forum for the most part. I deleted all my other SM accounts. I like it here. I hope you do too.
