February 22 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Okay, my back is done sitting. I need to get it reclined. Hopefully, I can return later. If not, I'm doing the thankful post now.
Sunday -
I'm thankful I could go to church. Someone made me an offer I won't refuse. I'll let you know all about it if it works out the way we hope.
I'm thankful for the good weather on Sunday.
Monday -
I'm thankful I got the shopping done before the weather turned bad.
I'm thankful for the potluck. I met a few more people in my building. I also talked at length with a woman at my table. She was a book store owner. She got me talking on my favorite subject - writing.
Today - I'm thankful for waking up this morning. There's snow on the ground and flurries in the air. I hope that means we won't get the icy mix they're talking about. I also hope when the snow really starts shortly, and that it's all snow and we get more than the current prediction of 1-3 inches. They previously predicted 3-6 inches. The current prediction for the northwest is over 20 inches. Their snow started yesterday.
I'm thankful I could spend as much time here as I could today. I enjoyed seeing what you're up to and connecting with your posts.
Okay, I need to give my back a break. Time for the recliner.
What are you thankful for today? The picture is mine of the predictions yesterday.

@wolfgirl569 Yes, there is. We really need it. They're talking about a snow drought. If we don't get more snow soon, it will go bad for the farmers when it comes time to plant.

Good weather is definitely something to be thankful for. It started out warmer here yesterday but turned to rain. The groceries and I got soaked trying to load them in.
I always enjoyed the potlucks after church when I used to go. How nice you bet a book owner and had such a nice conversation with her. Yikes I sure hope you don’t get 20 inches of snow like those in the northwest.

Yes, I have. Yesterday was my first potluck here. It was the first time I saw it on the calendar. They supposedly have it monthly.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to being pain-free.
It will be great if everything works out.

@just4him Your poor back.
i'm just catching up on some of your newer posts so I'm hoping to read about some improvements for you back.
How wonderful you could have a long chat with someone about writing! It's always wonderful to chat about our favourite things.
Today I am thankful that my Poppy was more happier today. He was not in the best of moods the last time my dad and nan went to visit him. But today he seemed alright. And I am happy for ice packs and heat packs to put onto my sore stiff neck. It's getting a bit of relief from them. Just a bit but I'll take that at least.

@just4him You're very welcome. And thank you so much. Sadly, I didn't get to see my Poppy. My dad and nan did but I heard from them he was in a much better mood. And thank you again. I have a heat pack on it again trying to help it but still no relief.

Our ice storm has stopped, I'm thankful for clear, safe roads today. I'm also thankful for my health, even though I'm taking meds to keep it this way.

@kobesbuddy My co-pay is $0. I really appreciate that price especially when my medication costs over $500 for the Eliquis. I take one handful of supplements. My doctor recommended them because I'm low on those ones. Except for the magnesium. A nurse recommended that one for the muscle cramps. I haven't had any since I started taking it. I'm on three different supplements.

@just4him I've been taking calcium each morning. This prevents bone-loss, which is common as we get older. Small boned women who had a hysterectomy are at high risk for osteoporosis.
