The Trail by the Creek

Another day has come and gone.The sun finally peeped out from behind the clouds and I took off for a walk before rain came in again.I walked down to the creek and streams of water was almost running over the banks Much more rain and my trail will be covered in water. But if that happens I can go to the gym and walk the treadmill. Since I couldn’t walk the creek trail I went on to the gym and walked the treadmill and worked out on the weights. On my way back I saw a young dad pulling his two little ones in a red wagon and they were so happy to be out riding on the sunny day. They were laughing and clapping their hands. They made my day.

That is beautiful, I love hiking and being in nature. It's even better when it is warm outside, because then I can play in the creek.

@RubyHawk I do too, but it is hard to find anyone who also likes it, or is able to. Like my husband used to love it, but he can't balance on the rocks anymore due to chronic back pain.

Looks like a beautiful and peaceful place to walk Ruby. Guess you've gotten quite a bit of rain if the creek is almost running over it's banks. We have some young children here and it's always pleasant hearing them playing and laughing.

@RubyHawk too much rain isn't good either and as much as I hate the cold I dislike those hot and ungodly humid summer days too. Here's hoping we get some beautiful spring weather and can really enjoy being outside.

We’ve had lots of rain. Too much for me. I love sunny days but when it’s hot and dry this summer I’ll be thankful for a rainy day.

young children and babies always make us happy when we see them enjoying things. because they haven't lived long enough to become ruined or hurt by life experiences like we have. Most are happy and fun little things and love everyone. It helped you that it was a nice warm day too.

At least you have the gym to exercise. It's dangerous to walk on that trail huge water may occur so suddenly.

I always enjoy a good walk. Treadmills are fine for cold days but they don’t compare to the outdoors.

It’s still winter. Spring will begin on March 21. We’ll have warmer and colder days. It was warmer today.

There are a few trails near here that are great for walking. They all require a 10-15 minute drive each way so most of my walking is up and down our street.

I used to like walking in all the parks around us but I haven’t since Leo passed away. Now I stay closer to home and I have a good walking trail here.
