Today was a COLD Day

I've been laying low today. It was a cold and damp day here. Our high was only 40 degrees and with the wind chill in the mid 30's. We have a wet ground from the rain yesterday and last night so it was a chilly day indeed. It stayed cloudy all day too and looked like we may get more rain but did not. Tonight we will be back in the low 40's but I think it will get colder than that. The puppy in the photo has the right idea. Snuggle up and stay warm my friends! We are slowing warming up as each new day comes. I will be so glad when the cold days and nights are gone!! Who else is ready for Spring, warm weather, sunshine and flowers? I've been ready for spring since the first s**wfall. I'm hoping that the white stuff on the ground will be gone next week. Have a good weekend.

My garden is full of primroses, this is surely a first sign of spring. I am ready to see winter go.

Yes, you have a good sign there. I was noticing today when I fed the chickens that the clover patches now have the flowers popping up. I am hoping the 30's at night will be gone by the end of this week. We are slowly getting there.

@LadyDuck I know. I think everyone is upset. Our stupid president is buying oil from Russia instead of tapping into our reserves. Billions of dollars going to them and funding them. How stupid is that?

What a cute photo!!! The sun is out, which is a major improvement. It’s supposed to be in the upper 50s/lower 60s next week, with NO RAIN OR SN*W. Also a major improvement. I might actually be able to get someone to come over and give me an estimate on my roof and/or gutters.

@kareng My apartment is nice, warm, and cozy. I just wish I didn't need to turn the thermostat to 80 for that to happen. I think I figured it out that I live just above the parking garage and that is very cold.
