The most misconception by people about me is I am not an approachable person. I may not that sociable but once you get to know me, you will know the real me. A classmate in high school once told me during the reunion that she saw me somewhere in the city but missed the time to approach because she don’t know how to begin the conversation with. She wants to ask how life is after high school but did not bother to call me anymore. I am not a conversation starter and I think that sent a wrong impression to most people that I met.

I was shy in high school but chose to go into retail sales, so forced myself to talk to people. Now, I talk with complete strangers on the street. I pretend like they're my best friend and people respond well to that. I LIKE talking with people now.

@ZedSmart It was really difficult at first. Once I figured out what people would respond to, it got a lot easier.

I think a lot of us are apprehensive about meeting new people and making friends - you might really enjoy this little animated video about making friends and dealing with those anxieties - I found it really helpful and fun.

I tend to be a little shy, but when I did product demos for a couple of years, I learned to be more outgoing.
