My Poppy thought my Nanny had passed away again. :(

It was my Poppy's birthday on Sunday (6th March) and I am sad that I was unable to see him. I really miss him a lot. I am not able to visit him where he is. I'm keeping the reasons why private for now.
I did buy him a card and presents for my dad and Nanny to take to him for me. I bought him some chocolates and lollies that he likes as thankfully his appetite is still going good! We all (dad, brother, Nanny, Aunty, cousins and myself) bought him things for his birthday.
But what broke my heart was that when my dad and Nanny went to visit him, my Poppy broke into tears as he really thought my Nanny had passed away and my dad moved to Sydney. 
His dementia has made him think things like this before to which he gets very upset. Poor thing just wants to come home and I'm hoping he can once things settle with my Nanny's arm (she recently had surgery).
My Poppy thankfully became more happier and brighter when he realised all was ok. He didn't know it was his birthday but he enjoyed the birthday wishes and all the gifts. 
I hope you're all well. I have yet to answer some of my Discussions. Will do that soon. I've not been feeling well past 3 - 4 days so taking it easy. See you all soon.

Your Poppy is absolutely adorable, I'm glad he enjoyed his Birthday with your father and Nanny:) With dementia, they forget what they were told and what they've learned. My father talked about going to heaven. I didn't want him to leave, but he was eager to leave this world. It was sad, knowing that he wanted to die.

I am so very sorry about your father. It truly is a hard thing to listen to. And very hard to try and be happy hearing things like that when we just want our loved ones to stay forever.

@kobesbuddy I just want to say I'm so sorry about your friend Tim. I also want to say a huge thank you for sharing that story with me. I don't wish to sound morbid but these stories have been helping me through some things right now. There's too many stories such as your dear friend Tim's and it brings peace on this side too. @VivaLaDani13 You are very welcome:) And Tim has a new view of life. And what he has to look forward to when he leaves this world. Not knowing what's ahead is scary! But, realizing that heaven is a real place of peace, righteousness and joy:) It's our in our future, to enter into God's beautiful Kingdom! I know for a fact, this is true
