Firefighters rescue an elk that fell into a window well in Colorado

Molly Neifert was with her relatives in her ranch in Eagle Colorado in the middle of last week when a female elk fell down into a window well and she needed to be rescued. Molly contacted 911 to ask for help around 11:30 pm that evening from the emergency operator who then contacted the Eagle Police who then contacted Colorado Parks and Wildlife but since the call was made late at night, no wildlife agents were available to assist her. Thanks to the teamwork of the police and the Greater Eagle Fire Department, they worked together to use their firefighting tools to get the female elk out of the six foot well by using a blanket and hoist her out of trouble. The elk then took some time to rest before leaving the area of the incident unharmed thanks to the teamwork of the firefighters and police officers who saved the evening.
