Working on my fitness challenge

I used to bring my kids to the park everyday. Though I didn't actually exercising, I always carried a baby and walked for quite long. I was still feeling quite well. Ever since MCO started, we stopped going to the park. Since then, it seems like I didn't have much movement staying at home. Not only I put on lots of weight, my body became weaker too. My joints or muscle seem to get hurt always too. Having tried several fitness apps, I finally found Chloe Ting's program which is free. There are many challenges. Each challenge is usually for 2-4 weeks, and there are workout videos scheduled for everyday. It's good for me to follow through, and I like the exercises she is teaching too. This is the first time I have been following through a fitness program for so long. I am usually quite lazy to exercise, especially on my own. Sometimes, I still feel lazy to workout especially when I am working on something else. I just read that "saying out loud helps to build the habit". Hence I am writing about my fitness challenge here, and motivating myself to exercise everyday. I wish I can be healthier, so I have more energy to play with my kids, but not get sick always. Do you exercise daily? Do you have a fitness routine?

Good for you It's hard to be motivated when you are on your own. We have started going to Zumba. It's a scaled-down version for older folk but we're enjoying it.

I wish you much success with your fitness challenge! I do exercise everyday, but not exactly in routine. I stretch (I come from a figure skating background - so I still do those stretches daily), do a lot of walking, dance in the house . . . exercising that way .

That's very good. I really need to stretch always, as I get cramp very easily nowadays. My parents didn't really emphasize in exercising, and I didn't have the habit of exercise when I was young too. But now I understand how essential it is, and while I am trying to exercise more, I always encourage my kids to do so too. Glad that they are more active than I am. Dancing is good and fun too!

@kaka135 Maybe try eating bananas . . . the nutrients in bananas are supposed to help ease the muscle cramps. I'm trying to get the kids to do more physical activity too . . . the things they do in school are really not enough. I was a tomboy growing up, and often alone . . . so I did a lot of roller skating, skateboarding, or bike riding . . . but my parents weren't really into exercising either (not the way people do it today anyway). I think I will take the time to do some dancing today !

Doing exercise is very good! You will have a stronger body and this is already a big wealth I don't do exercise on purpose, but usually I will ride a bike everyday to go to work and go home. I regard it as my regular exercise

I tried doing a fitness exercise every other day, but I became lazy and stopped it. I know I should continue because I need it, so, I'll try to start by walking even 15 minutes per day. I hope I can succeed. Good luck to you too, I hope you will succeed too.

once you make an excuse not to do it one day it makes it easier not to do it again ;-) But you really need to find an exercise that you like such as a sport or walking , otherwise its not enjoyable and you stop

The only thing I do which is only occasionally is a tiny bit of yoga and tai chi. Only when I feel like it and walking too. I wish you much luck to be able to get back feeling better and some exercise. I know it is hard at times to do.

No, I don't do any kind of fitness. I hate doing things by myself and Pretty works out when I'm asleep. Once in a while she wakes me up while working out. *shrug*
