A Drop Here In Gasoline Price Again

I had to run to town and run a few errands this afternoon and noticed that the price of gasoline had dropped again. It was down to $3.97.9 per gallon before I left for Lafayette and today the signs all read $3.87. That is a nice little price drop. I stopped and topped the tank off. I got home after 11 pm last night and wasn't going to stop for gas at that hour. The price of gasoline was over $4 a gallon in Lafayette. I was good since I had a full tank when I left and planned to wait to get gas after I was back home. I'm glad I did! You may not remember but the owner of another little store that sells gas in town had told the owner of the auto parts store that gas was going to shoot back up this week. He was wrong. Is the price of gasoline still dropping in your area? Looks like the Democrats are going to use this as a selling point for the mid-term elections. I hope people realize that the prices should not have been high in the first place and it wad Biden's fault that we were in that position to begin with. Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

@CarolDM Yes, I agree. My husband didn't notice the price when he went to town this morning. I always look!

I agree with you completely Unless the administration makes a change in their energy policy inflated prices will remain high for a long time. Excessive Government spending and losing our energy independence over the past year has been a major reason for these high prices in the first place. Don't get too excited. Election integrity, social and media bias will do everything in their power to gaslight and keep Americans uninformed and stupid come the midterms. I definitely worry about the state of our country!

Right, the media will do anything to make it look like Biden is doing a good thing and taking credit (whether he deserves it or not--and that is mostly not!).

I'm assuming your oil comes from Russia? Or Saudi Arabia?

@JudyEv They need to re-open the Keystone Pipeline here in the U.S. There is no need for use to be buying from a foreign country.

@kareng I think we should be manufacturing more of our own stuff. It's really short-sighted to be so dependent on other countries.

Jay paid 3.89 per gallon the other day, coming home from Bay City. Yes, gasoline prices are going down here, also:)

@kobesbuddy I should be going to town today or else I'll send the hubby. It's supposed to be stormy so I will probably opt to stay home. But I will get him to check the price to see if it has moved any since the weekend. We filled up day before yesterday when heading to McComb.

You are lucky you have a small car that doesn't use a lot of gasoline. It is costing me $25-$32 for 1/4 of a tank here. I try to top it off every time I use that much to not be hit with $100 at a time.

Prices have been steady here. Haven't seen any stations at 5.00 yet but we'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.

I am not sure. My husband decided to tell me gas prices at the two stations we visited today. Both over 4 dollars. So, I don't know. I know it's been a while since he's told me it's been that high.

Still 4.89 here for medium grade. Premium is at 4.99. It never dropped here but I wish it would. The local Chevron said it was likely to go higher in the weeks to come.

I don't know about gas prices since I do not have a car but today I saw online a notice here in my area of Daytona Beach that the Circle K about a couple of blocks from us was out of gas of all things,
