Not much for watching TV

I have never been one to watch a lot of TV, and it seems to have gotten worse the older I get. Hubby likes TV, but not always things I want to watch. We watch Amazon and Roku. Some of the days hubby has slept I tried to enjoy some television of my choice but could not stand to sit still for it. I did not engage well with it. I made an agreement with hubby this evening that if he could find something I would enjoy I would sit with him and watch, and do some hand mending. That seems to be the key for me. My hands need to be busy so I can relax and let my mind appreciate the show. He successfully found something for is to watch, but I did not catch the title. It is a Canadian series that began n 2007, about a horse rescuer who is killed in an accident. It may be called Heartland. I enjoyed it. It had family themes, and animals and emotion and great scenery. It had young people and old people. Maybe my Canadian friends can let me know. We will be watching more of it. As I look back over the years I have ALWAYS had something in hand while I watched television. This will help me fold my laundry, do some stichery and other things now. Plus hubby will be pleased I am sharing something with him. Don't tell me I am the only one who does not sit still for television.

I would rather watch classic comedy shows on television instead of shows that have adult themes.

@Deepizzaguy It is pointless and does not add any value.

I don’t watch a lot of TV. I usually read and go walking or to the gym. I’m on my iPad on Mylot so that takes up about all my time.

I wish we had a gym nearby. I need to walk more, but the roads are kind of rough around here.

I cannot sit still while watching TV too. There is always something to do and my hands will find something useful to do like say; fold the napkins, blankets and etc.

I haven't watched TV for more than 10 years. Most of the time I use my mobile phone to watch what I want to see

One of the reasons it was so easy for me to “cut the cord” five years ago is the fact that I don’t watch TV. I haven’t watched episodic television since Night Court in the early 90s. I have Apple TV (like the Roku thing), and most of my time is spent watching You Tube live channels with scenery (like sunsets, the Florida Keys, or both). No, you aren’t the only one. Plus, television programming is for the younger people, so older people don’t figure into their “demographics.”

@GardenGerty i truly believe if you watch to much TV your brain turns to mush. I tease the kids when they are watching, opps saw some brain cells fall out, better go outside for a bit

Yes, it's Heartland. I've watched it, but not all the time. It's a nice family show. When I watch TV, I can't do something else, unless I've seen the show a few times, then I can do other things.

You're not the only one. I mostly crochet but I can't just sit with idle hands. I would love to watch Heartland. It seems there are a number of series of it.

@GardenGerty With crochet, you don't need to continually watch your stitching. You can look up and down quite easily usually.
