Should children go to kindergarten or not?

Some parents think that young children don't necessarily go to kindergarten. But in my opinion, children from 3 years old should go to school. The environment of communication with peers of the same age and the guidance of teachers will help children develop good thinking and good habits. Children don't go to school just to learn knowledge, but also to learn life skills. Do you think so?

No formal education or academics should be started till the child is 5 years or above. Early years are for social, motor and language skills. If the home environment is good enough to take care of all of that, child need not go to school at such young age. But if the home environment can not meet those developmental needs, a good preschool would.

I think that the home environment is not enough. They need to have friends whom can talk and play together.

@tkonlinevn That's what I said. If the home environment has enough interactions with siblings and cousins ( in joint families) or enough children in neighbourhood, that meets the developmental needs. Preschools have become popular with changing socio economic conditions. Now more families are nuclear and both parents are working.

Here it is common for children to go to the kindergarten at the age of three. I think the children need to learn how to communicate with others and make friends and other things which sometimes it is not easy to learn at home. It just depends on whether the kindergarten and the teachers are nice enough to the chiildren. I hope the teachers can have a kind heart and be responsible. It is not only a job. People should love children at first and then consider to be a teacher.

@tkonlinevn It is very interesting that sometimes strange will think I am a teacher, but I had never been a teacher and I wasn't thinking about it when I was young. As I know I am not a patient person and I am afraid this is not a good character to be a good teacher. I won't do it for money because it can ruin a child's childhood if he/she meets disqualified teachers. As time goes by, I can only sigh that why some people don't realize it and choose a wrong job for them? And I also think I could do much better than them if I were a teacher

@youless I think that you was right when not become a teacher because you don't have not enough patient. A teacher should be a patient and generous person.

I love your saying "People should love children at first and then consider to be a teacher." Teacher is a hard work, also an interesting work, need to have love with children.

I think children aged 3-5 years old should be taught good values and right conduct. Basically, teach the child how to be a responsible adult. The academic subjects can follow when the child is older.

Right. This age is very important to teach children how to communicate and skills to be independent and regulate emotions.

NO, children must enjoy their young age until the age of 5. Early years are to socialize, to learn to live with the others and to behave.

If there are good teachers, children still enjoy their young age at the kindergarten. Even better at home. Because there are more activities from teachers and friends.

@tkonlinevn Exactly what I am saying the kindergarten has the purpose to educate children to socialize. Learning must come later, never before the age of 5.

I think children aged 3-5 years are "schooled" to play, to socialize with friends of the same age

Working parents here may take a child younger than 5 to a pre-school but what the pre-school does is help them learn basic motor skills and language skills. It's a time for play and integration with other children that gets them ready for learning in school when they start at 5 years old.

Children should go to kindergarten from 3 years old but should stay for limited hours cz they are really small.
