Running In Circles

The pain at the pump, while admittedly not 100% the result of Biden policy, the greatest portion of it is indeed Biden policy. The sad part is that the democrats and the media are running in circles now trying to explain things away. It's the supply, it's the bad oil companies taking advantage of consumers, it's the Russia-Ukraine war, and myriad other convoluted explanations.
Yet it is clear as the eye can see that two things are true here. Biden's energy policy and restrictions on oil mimics Obama's policy and under both presidents gas prices were high. When Trump was president gas prices were significantly lower.
In fact, one has to keep in mind that what Biden essentially did was to almost entirely return to Obama policy since reversing Trump's policy pretty much did exactly that.
Prices saw steep rises almost immediately after Biden signed his executive orders reversing Trump policy within hours of taking his oath of office.
What this decision has essentially done is left everyone scrambling now to try to prove that Biden's policy is actually better. "We'll suspend the federal gas tax," say some. "Let's open up the strategic reserves," say others.
Many states are now looking at gas tax moratoriums to try to address the issue that is badly hurting consumers. Especially those who are low income.
California Governor Gavin Newsome now wants to hand out $400 gas cards to citizens to help ease the pain. Granted, the money comes from a budget surplus so essentially the plan would not cost taxpayers additional money. Yet still, it does not solve the underlying problem(s) actually driving prices skyward at the pump.
Why not just scrap all of these ideas and do something we know worked and that we have the proof worked?
Return to Trump's policy.
It won't fix things immediately. Things take time. But for all intents and purposes it sure does seem like the best idea.
This whole situation sort of feels like a major building fire happening with everyone filling buckets of water with a garden hose ignoring calling the fire department who can douse the flames much more effectively.
Really folks. What's to think about? The answer is staring all of these people square in the face.

Let's see how much hate you get on this post.
I think you've been around long enough and read enough of my stuff to know that I am not a Biden fan, nor will I ever be.
He just keeps screwing things up

The one thing I find is that liberals tend not to come to posts like this. Why? They don't want to actually discuss anything. Partly because they can't. They much prefer to stay in their own tight knit circles where everyone just nods their head and agrees with everything and everyone.
There is something Rush Limbaugh used to say all the time about liberals who complain that they can't get a successful talk radio show on the air. As he put it, it's because when you can think things through you can fill out a three-hour radio program. Liberal's arguments fit on bumper stickers, and you can't fill three hours with just a bunch of one-liners and talking points.
Conversely, it is also why the most successful format for liberals is the TV stuff. They can easily fill tiny segments with quick jabs and opinions, and there is no requirement for them to dig deeper into the issues.
It does not stop me from writing the posts, though. And most people who actually read them I think do find, when they are analyzing what I am saying fairly and with an open mind, that I am quite fair in my own analysis and commentary, and shy away from getting into name calling and insults—that's what the liberals like to do and I simply will not engage in that sort of thing.
I don't need to call Biden an idiot, for example. I can simply state the reasons why I feel his policy doesn't work. In fact, most of the time the liberals are only throwing out the insults (Trumpanzee, moron, orangehead, racist, liar and so on and so forth) because they lack an actual argument to say WHY they disagree with him.
Interestingly enough, most people who say they are against Trump don't even know what he did as president. Frankly, I am not sure they know what Biden is NOT doing as president. lol

@porwest For that knowledge, we would have to pay a price...dangerous.

@RebeccasFarm There is a LOT that went on behind the scenes that could be dangerous for someone to reveal, and that's probably some of the reason we are not getting more understanding of what happened with not only the election, but what happened in 2016 with the Obamas and the Clintons. Or what happened with Hunter Biden and Ukraine back when he was VP...and so much more.

Their hate and dislike for Trump makes them reject everything he touched that clearly made things better. And that’s the dumbest thing ever.

@sharonelton And the media was certainly ignoring it. I will admit I would have preferred he would have tweeted less. But then again, we knew who Trump was before. It should have come as no surprise. But his policies were highly effective, and when it comes to presidents that is all I care about.
