Have a Good Weekend Everybody!

March 25, 2022 10:28pm CST
Hi All, What is up in your part of the world? Hope everybody's doing well and all that. Here is another discussion I would like to have for this hour. All of us in our daily lives live in different parts of the world, hence, our living arrangement varies from one to the other. We also see a lot of diligent and hardworking delivery riders and drivers making their rounds and sending parcel and food etc to customers. Here's the discussion question of the day. Will you create trouble for these riders or drivers if you see their vehicles parked in a compound area of say, your private property? Supposing you are living in that kind of vicinity or so. Would you make noise so that they will leave quickly, or leave them be to complete their delivery rounds? Because you know they are trying to send their deliveries to the customers and not trying to create a nuisance etc. Or are you the kind to get irritated easily and will pressure them to leave? Do share your thoughts. Yet again, there's no right or wrong answer and we are just having a healthy discussion here. Thanks guys and have a good weekend to all. God bless!

As long as they don't block traffic, they can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned. As long as you can still get around them, even double parking is ok. Against the law, yes but it's not trouble to me unless I can't get by them.

I like your answer. Hassle-free and makes everyone happy. Yes, traffic is the main issue here; as long as there's no obstruction, then it'll be okay.

I am like you too. I just let them get on with their busy deliveries as well.

I am not driving a vehicle at all, so I do not encounter traffic. But I do get deliveries and always treat the driver person with respect and appreciation.

That is good, Tiara. They work hard to get the deliveries done, so the least we can do is to make their jobs easier.

The only delivery drivers we see are Postal workers or Amazon trucks. They park in your driveway while bringing your packages to your door and move on quickly. They get paid by the number of packages they deliver. Nothing else delivers here.

@ihasaquestion There is no food delivery here. And I don't know about any other type of deliveries.

I respect every person who works hard and honestly. They are such people. I won't mind if their vehicle is parked in my premises. We need to respect people who bring our day to day stuff in all weathers and all conditions

@ihasaquestion True indeed. I agree. Not everyone respects them and that's sad. Glad you wrote post about them.

@Rashnag But without them, people won't have their things delivered when needed, so for that, I do respect them a lot.

My weekend wasn't horrible, but crazy. Had to take my dog to the vet and had some confusion with communicating about work this week, but thank the Lord it wasn't worse.

Oh dear, sometimes stuff like that happens to the best of us.

We live at the end of a private road and there is no reason for anyone to park on our property. I would come out and ask why they are there, all the houses have enough space where to park, so why where they should not? If they park on the main road and they do not block the traffic, I have nothing to say.

@ihasaquestion No one should violate a private property, I have only see one young flyers deliverer going down our small private road, he surely thought he could go to the main road with a shortcut, but NO, our road ends at our property, he had to go back.

That's questionable indeed. I guess every situation differs.

@LadyDuck Unless that area of your residency orders something, it's questionable to park or loiter there.

Our apartment provides few parking lots for the guests and some special spots for these delivery person. I think that is quite convenient for them as well as the residents here. In another situation I would not mind them as long as I am not blocked by them and getting late for something urgent.

Hi Arun.. thanks for your response. That is a very good idea that these delivery guys have special spots for them to place their vehicles while they go to deliver their parcel. Yes, as long as you are not blocked while trying to go somewhere makes enough sense.
