I am a very curious person. Look what it did to the poor cat. I love to watch a good movie, the more involved and complex the plot, the better. But, one shortcoming I have is that if I start watching something and it leaves me dry and isn't that enticing to me I can't just turn it off. As a curious person and as a writer, I can't just let it go. I have to see where the writer is going to go with the storyline and characters, no matter how disgusting it becomes. I have to see how it ends in a big way. How about you?

I tend to do the same with books. I want to see how it all ends.

I’m afraid I do the same. I have to see the ending even if it’s not my cup of tea.

@celticeagle A bad ending can throw the whole book out of kilter.

@RubyHawk .......Bad endings really send me into a tailspin. Can't figure out the writer's psyche.

Yes, I'm like that with books. I recently reread two of Alice Munro's and just couldn't stand the whiney protagonist, but I read them all the way through, then tossed them in my donate to Value Village box. I usually take books I don't want to the Centre but I didn't want to inflict them on anyone there.

I am disappointed with endings too sometimes. Curiosity drags me on.

This is me. I often find myself suffering at the end of a drama or series with an ending that I find unsatisfying. I think that's the downside of being overly committed to anything

Yeah, but inquiring minds want to know.
