Saturday Talks: Fasting, Cricket Tracking and Good Survey Points

Another Hot Day. Yet quite a lot apart from Heat this Saturday 2nd of April 2022. 1. First Day of the 9 day Hindu Festival Navratri (Nav : Nine). Keeping a fast on the First day. 2. Tracking different Cricket matches and following them. 3. Earned good Survey points on an App I use after many days: WowApp ! Some errands: mainly buying a few things left for the day. Yesterday I did one survey at YouGov after so long for 50 points. Happy Chaitra Navratri. I am skipping fasting and elaborate pooja this time because of hectic schedule and taking my younger one for her exams to the centre in other part of the city. Her board exams are going on till 11th April.

@arunima25 Happy Navratris. I do fasting for just 2 days and do not eat things with Onions and Garlic for the whole 9 days. However, we often laugh at things we have during the Fasting - especially Kuttu Pakodas (Fried Buckwheat Flour dumplings)!!

I can understand why you have to skip Fasting this time. Even we are having a lot of local travels since last many days and plan to have more in the coming days. I remember a time during October 2010 when I was in Chennai and my only option for Lunch was office canteen in the Chennai office. They did not seem to follow any Navratri rules and I had to have stuff without confirming whether they had Onion/Garlic or not. At times, we do not have a choice.

@arunima25 One can do that if one is independent in cooking and deciding. Here I cannot decide the menus much, but can skip a few things here n there.
