I have to run. But I think I’ll drive instead.
I’m meeting a friend for lunch. I’m doing that again on Monday, meeting former myLotter Joy Dorsey. Meanwhile I’ll help you to the top song on the list of favorite songs with “help” in the title.
#1: Help Me Through the Night - Joe Walsh
No surprise here. This was on the “night” songs list, and it’ll be on the “me” and “the” list, too! JJ knew this was coming during the teaser!
You can’t argue with a sick mind. That’s what the album featuring the live version of this song (linked below) was titled. Although Joe Walsh wasn’t officially an Eagle then, you can see by the presence of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, and Don Felder that it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Started by an absolutely beautiful song. I say it all the time when I used one of Walsh’s ballads: if your perception of him is just the guitar crunching on “Rocky Mountain Way” or “Funk 49,” there’s a whole lot more to him. And this song is the premiere proof.
Thanks for reading.

Don't know this one. At first thought it was Help Me Make It Through the Night. I'm jealous, I want to go to lunch with you two!

@LindaOHio — it’s just as well that you can’t, she had to cancel due to a panic attack. Sheesh, I didn’t know I had that kind of power over people.
(Just kidding, panic attacks SUCK.

I saw him on the There Goes the Neighborhood tour in 1981 in Philadelphia. Good concert.

Joy’s lunch is Monday. Today was my putting coach. Glad you enjoyed the song. It’s probably my favorite Joe Walsh solo song.
