New gadgets. Ways to spend money.

I was mylotting just now when my eyes fell across a new gadget. It was a very expensive thingie to make hard boiled eggs. OMG!!! I said, both in Spanish and I English. The gadget´s price was twice the price of my minipimer. I was taught to boil eggs by my grandma. She was a very Catholic lady who hated priests. But she taught us Cathechism and lots of prayers. She told me if you wanted to cook perfect hard boiled eggs, you must pray "Our Father" three times. I did that early in my life but then I decided to place the raw eggs with potatoes and take them out a bit before. It was easy. Kitchens in my country are not like those awesome kitchens they have in the US. We cannot make an open concept house because at the first earthquake we would have it in shambles. So my kitchen is small and I wouldn´t know where to place the absurd egg cooker. And as I tend now to do things as I have always done them, I would boil one with a potato or 2 if I wan to make a potato salad with a diced hard boiled egg too. Do you buy gadgets? What sort of gadgets do you have?
