100 km to get to the bank.

So I need some bank paper for my visa, and as I live in a small village near the Sahara, I have to travel 100 km to get to this near city that has the bank. What's scaring me is: What if there's a problem with the system and I can't get the papers I need from that agency ? Because that happens a lot. Then I will have to go back to my village and travel 85 km in the opposite direction to find another bank agency. It's hard to live in a small village in the middle of no where. Does the place you live in causes you any similar problems ?

You don't have phones in your village? I'd try calling the bank and see if they can help me before I set foot out of my house. If the first bank can't help, then call the other bank.

@Babino You had me worried. I couldn't imagine having internet and computers but not phones.

It's mostly sunny. It's nice actually. I just wish it was a big city with everything you might need.

@MrDenata I do want to, but it's complicated. I'm waiting for a transfer to my hometown, and it's going to take a while I guess.

That must be rough. It can't be easy to deal with. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I live in a suburb of a large city. So, it's pretty easy for me to get banks and such.

Oh this is terrible for you. No, here everything is very accessible for necessities, but if I want to travel to small towns in mountains, it is difficult as I have no transport and if I did, it would have to be a four wheel drive.

Oh my goodness, we live in a small village, but our bank is at walking distance. Should we need papers from our Italian Consulate is 20 Km from us.

@Babino - It's not too bad. We have never been to the Italian Consulate, we never needed to go.

Can’t you call the bank first? My town is small, but the bank is about a 6 minute drive away. Good luck!

@Babino It will save you a headache and taxi money if you called first.

I probably will before I take the taxi. I don't want to make an unnecessary trip. thank you for the idea.
