What Are The Best Fish to Eat?

Certain fish are the best for us because they are higher in Omega-3 fatty acids. This is the good type of fat that our bodies need. Heart-healthy food should be in every diet. High fat is 10 grams or more. Those fish that are highest are salmon, sardines, tuna, rainbow trout, and mackerel. I love salmon and rainbow trout and wish I could have them both more often. Tuna is okay but I only eat it in the canned variety. I don't care for sardines and I have never tried mackerel. Has anyone else tried it? What is it like?

I am not fond of tilapia. I think it's tasteless, no matter what a person does to it. My favorites are salmon, halibut, grouper, trout, red snapper....some of those are hard to get and expensive, so they are a big treat. I have salmon the most, as it's affordable and I love it.

For me it is tuna, mackerel, sardines, milkfish, catfish, and tilapia.

@celticeagle it is what we call 'bangus' in our local language.
You can look it up online if you are interested.

Mackerel is yummy
sort of like sardines but a bit more on the 'dry' side, maybe because it's usually smoked.

I'm not a big fish eater. Tuna is OK, sardines - no, salmon - no...and I've never had mackerel.

Me too! I had a co-worker who did that too. She isn't around anymore.
