Are you wearing masks anymore? People here have stopped wearing it!!!

Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Since few months as the cases of covid has gone down in India, a lot of people have stopped wearing masks here.
In fact, in Maharashtra, the government has issued a statement that it isn't compulsory for people over there to wear masks.
In Surat, Gujarat where I live. I am seeing there is no such permission given by government here still a lot of people are roaming around without wearing masks. Me and my family are still wearing masks and sanitising from time to time. We don't want to take any risks.

We don't have to wear masks here anymore and I've stopped wearing a mask for a couple of weeks now.

@Rashnag Yes, that's right. The government says we don't have to wear masks, we can decide whether to wear them or not. You have a good day too.

Cases has declined greatly but recently there is a rise again but not at an alarming rate, still wearing masks is the minimum protocol. It is still mandatory to wear facemask outside and social distancing is still observed in public establishments.

It's not over. I continue to wear mine when I go in to businesses. If I get Covid, even with the vaccines I have and my son has had, I could inadvertently give it to him. And the doctor says with all of his health issues, he probably would not survive it, vaccine or not. He recently had a terrible lung infection and was hospitalized nearly a week. I value his life as well as my own, yes, I will wear mine until I feel better about not wearing it, and until hopefully he is able to have his boosters, which the doctors do not think he should get yet.
Sometimes, wearing a mask can protect others who can't help their medical conditions.

The numbers have been declining for the past few weeks, but we are seeing an uptick in the trend again as people start to return to their hometowns ahead of the Eid al-Fitr national holiday As for me, I still wear a mask wherever I'm outdoor. I even double it, just in case. Have a good day to you as well!
