Road construction can be annoying.

For the past two days, the streets around me have been repaved, or rather in the process of being repaved. I'm glad it's getting done, don't get me wrong... but still. It's noisy, and can make getting around difficult. I haven't been out today, but George says they did the other end of the street. So, there's that. It is loud and annoying. And shakes stuff.

I have turned deaf to those noises now. Our metro construction is going on for quite some time now on the road next to my apartment. It's noisy and dusty. And now it's the external repair and painting in our apartment on the top. And I plan to have some internal renovation of the house in June. So, lots of construction and noise to deal with

I10 and Loop 375 have been undergoing repairs and remodeling over the past 3 years, it drives everyone nuts. If they ever get done they'll just have perhaps 2 years before they start again. It's just so damn annoying.

I have been around street construction and really hate the noise especially when they break into the cement, I hope they get it done and leave you in peace soon,

@kaylachan They reworked the road in front of my apartment a few years ago and they had work going on for two years. It was a mess.

It's one of the major annoyances I have during summer, all the road construction. Can roads ever finally be complete? Yeesh.

Apparently not. And, we got a door hanger warning us they plan to repave a bunch of roads around here, including ours.

Yeah. It's on top of us, apparently. George says if we see the speed bumps gone, that's a sign our end of the street will be next. Although they're in tact for now, so we'll see.

I feel the same when there are road constructions nearby. It is really inconvenient and a hassle

Yeah. I'm just glad George, my husband, is home. I am sure the shaking I've felt would've set off our glass break detector.

I am experiencing the same thing right now. We live near the main road , and all day there is the noise of heavy duty equipment and lots of dust.

I don't know about dust, but I felt the house shake when they drove by.

We also had this at the beginning of the new semester, and since my sister still had to go to online classes, she couldn't focus well on her study because the construction work was too loud It did make getting around difficult, too.
