My sister looked in Facebook for a printer technician here in our town. Luckily she contacted one and said he would come right away. I contacted another technician before that and he always finds excuses telling me he cannot come. I'm so happy this technician is very responsive.
Before lunch he come right away. He reset my printer to 0 to remove the message "inkbox full". He opened up the machine and take out the ink absorber pad which you can see in the picture. He did not replace it with a new one instead he improvise a waste ink bottle he set up outside the printer which will catch the excess ink.
I paid 1,000 pesos or $20 for it. It's expensive but at least now the printer is working again.

Here we would say $20 is very reasonable. I appreciate technicians and repair people who are prompt and come quickly.

I save money by just repairing it than buying a new one

A few years ago my eldest daughter gave me a new printer. I confess that I did not use it much but it was handy when I needed it. Last year, my daughter told me that as I did not use it much, why didn“t I give it back to her?
I did so and now I will have to ask somebody to print my vouchers when I go on my holidays.
