Happy Earth Day to You. . . one little girl who has autism thought that we should sing this at lunch. Our custodial crew sings "Happy Birthday" to children on their special days, during lunch.
My contribution to the environment this evening is this: Instead of hubby driving into town and using fuel and spending money at the barber, I sat him down and cut his hair.
I then swept up his curly locks and brushed them out the door for the birds to find. It would make lovely soft linings for nests.Lots of nests.
I have listened to films and videos and stories about Earth Day all day today.
Did you contribute to the well being of Earth today?

Especially if you plant them in the ground. Very earth friendly decor in my opinion.

@GardenGerty Too early here yet. I put a lot in hanging baskets. Everything is in the greenhouse right now.

@GardenGerty We should all do everything possible to keep our home place. We don’t have another one.

It is great your hubby had a haircut at home without going to the barber's.It is a good way to reduce your carbon footprint !

Most of the time we do this. I did get him to go to a shop earlier this year as kind of a treat, as he got a shave as well. It really is too expensive and it is a lot faster to do it at home.

No more than I do every day: recycle and feed the squirrels and birds. I did say “hello” to the mama robin sitting on the nest on my motion lights.

Take good care of that mama. She will naturally dispose of a lot of pests for you.

I know it was Earth Day the only thing I did was leave out peanuts and some bread for the squirrel who comes here so he can enjoy this day.

Very thoughtful of you, really, and he entertains you with no electricity or carbon foot print. There is a lot of joy to be found in caring for the small creatures.
