Last month, I tried extracting oil from coconut after watching a YouTube video. The video is owned by one of the South Indian ladies demonstrating how to extract coconut oils in a traditional method. After watching the process, 4-5 coconuts were plucked from the backyard and started following the demonstrated process. Overall, the experience was fun, but in between I almost gave up because of my patience. Anyway, it takes 2-3 days for me to extract the oil. The result was amazing and I love the freshly extracted coconut oil scent, but the result disappointed me because the extracted quantity were to be like somewhere 500-600ml only.
I love the freshly extracted coconut oil scent but the result disappointed me because the quantity I got from 5 coconuts were somewhere 500-600ml only. The lady who was demonstrating she was also saying that it may differ from region to region so it was expected. Seeing the result, my mother said to me, Ahh! You will be at great loss "if you run the Coconut oil processing unit and try selling this with an Organic label also people won't buy it. They will tell you that they prefer to buy Rs 10/- bottles from the market rather than buying from you".

@psanasangma - It is a good idea, make it for yourself so you can use a natural product.

We have wonderful friends from the Philippines here on myLot. Friends (a family) of ours used to be missionaries in the Solomon Islands. Their church community made cold-pressed coconut oil and sold them by the gallons as means to support themselves--comfortably and sufficiently. They showed photos when they came back.
