Do you know someone?

After waiting four years, my Aunt Joyce finally got a kidney transplant Sunday. It all started when she got heat stroke, and she can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Of course, you always have to make sure her body doesn't reject it, but it's an answered prayer. I'm an organ donor myself although no one is going to want my liver (liver disease I was born with). Do you know anyone who got an organ transplant?

Not yet here. It's nice to know about the successful kidney transplant. It's hard to find a donor

I don't know anyone but how wonderful is it that your aunt now has a transplant. I hope her life improves with a new kidney.

How wonderful that she received a kidney! Yes, I have a friend who had a double lung transplant about 10 years ago. He never smoked. He was a building contractor and had worked around asbestos and a lot of chemicals and they doctors thought that may have been the reason. They gave him 2 months to live and by some miracle, he got lungs donated the next week. He is doing very well, I am so thankful. I hope your aunt does well, too!

Can't say that I have, I've heard stories on the news from time to time. Rejection is always a risk, but its still a second chance.

Some people in my neighborhood have had an organ transplant. Kidney mostly but they got their kidney from their children. After months though, their body rejected it.
