It is going to be a long week or more

My person who helps with my student and relieves me for lunch has covid 19. Omicron variant #3.
So does her youngest daughter.
There is an infusion treatment that helps with the symptoms, and she will be getting it. Her daughter does not qualify for it however.
Both of these women are integral parts of our school. We will miss them. We are hopeful that no one else gets it.
The weeks before school is out always seem really long.

She has been out a week, her youngest daughter 6 days, her other daughter 5 days. They are still testing positive.

The family lives with the mom/dad, grandparents. Three generations. Dad had it first, caught it from his job. Now all five of them are sick.

@GardenGerty It usually goes through the whole family. I hope they have all been vaccinated.

It is beyond me why her daughter does not qualify for the infusion treatment.Did the rest of your school do the nucleic acid test ?

I will get the whole story from her when she is back. No, they did not require us to test.

Omicron #3? Wow, I hadn’t heard of that one yet. I saw a headline that said the Vice President tested positive, so I wonder if that’s the variant she has. I hope your helper and the VP are well quickly!
And you see? You thought that “the last weeks of school take forever!” thing ended when you graduated. Nope.

I even read that there is an Omicron 4 and 5 as well. I have been dragging ever since Christmas break.

Our county health no longer requires contact tracing. You get tested if you have symptoms and that is it.
