For your information, 'chop suey' is a delicacy that can be considered an American Chinese cuisine. The ingredients are mixed with chicken meat, quail eggs, cabbage, etc. Today, I woke up early and cooked this special dish. It is a meal for our lunch later. I am starting to like cooking and thinking about what will be the next dish to be prepared on the table. Have you tried this dish? Are you a vegetable lover?

Some people do love the chicken liver in it. In this cooking version of mine, I did not add this.

We have chop suey in our Chinese restaurants but I donĀ“t have the least idea where they come from. I have eaten the Chinese food in some restaurants in the US and have not liked it much except for one restaurant in Chinese Village in San Francisco. The Chinese food I like here could well be an adaptation to our taste.

@Shavkat There is a Cantonese restaurant near my house that has delicious Chinese food. It is more expensive than most of the other Chinese restaurants, but it is worth it.

@marguicha I can agree with you more about this concern. Speaking with the word Cantonese, these people are from the province that I mentioned.

In my book, it started in Guangdong Province in China. In my country, most Chinese restaurants do offer this kind of dish. I also think that the taste varies from one country to another. The good thing is that veggies are the main ingredient of 'Chop suey.' China Town's restaurants from different countries are one of the places where we can have them.

@Shavkat Surely, I like the Chinese version with no eggs, more meat, no cauliflower but with perfumed mushrooms, snow peas and bamboo shoots.

In my country, it is common to bring some quail eggs before it will be served on the table. Do you use chicken liver in making this dish?

I've had chop suey but never with the ingredients you used. It's probably an Americanized version instead.
