That may be evidence of our foolishness to be on the road in a massive outbreak of bad weather. For two weeks hubby has been wanting to go to another town to eat at one of our many favorite restaurants. I told him fine, we would stop at my sister's place on the way back. We left immediately after I got home from work and had a wonderful Chinese buffet dinner. While we ate the clouds changed from white and poofy to dark and ominous. We stopped for a brief visit with my sister, then went to fuel t he vehicle and hit t he road. I recently have installed The Weather Channel weather app on my phone. It screamed at us literally all the way home. We would have been smart to shelter with her, but we did not. We saw a little hail, a little rain, lots of dust. There was even a dust storm warning issued. It felt as if a big black cloud was sitting right over us. We made it home, got the cats situated, and put t hings away my sister sent home. Then we went to bed because I get up early and hubby was exhausted from fighting the wind. Besides, we wanted to be safe in bed if the power went out. Our little town had a brief thunder and hail storm and now all is quiet this morning. I will go for coffee with my friend. I am sure you understand why I did not want to be on a computer in the middle of the storm.

I'm glad you guys made it home safely. The storms hit here around 2 am. Lots of lightning and thunder and then the floods crashed down... Strangely enough, the only signs that we got rained on this morning were a few puddles here and there.

We started about 50 miles west of where we live and it was a little cringy. I am glad you only had a few puddles to show for the event.

@GardenGerty As hard as the rain was coming down, we expected the ditch at the end of our yard to be full this morning. It wasn't.

I was watching the coverage of that tornado that hit Andover. Wow, what a monster. Thankful to hear of no fatalities. In the middle of a storm I want to be in my safe place, nowhere else! Glad you’re okay. Have a great day!

I thought about sharing a picture, but did not. It is amazing how we can all check up on one another by way of TV and internet and radio.

We knew that this was coming, but had not figured on it being sooner where my sister lives than where we do. Storms were actually all over the state last night.

I'm glad that you and hubby had a good dinner-date, a visit with your sister, and made it home safely despite the bad weather. I wish I could have coffee with a friend, too, any day.
