I finished my walk and my workout at the gym and came out on my deck to cool off and unwind. It is a hot day, sunny with heavy clouds coming in.
I brought my iPad to catch up on notifications and brought my latest book The Winner, by David Baldacci to read a few pages. I haven’t heard many birds this spring but they’re chirping away today.
I think the loudest bird must be the male. He sounds like he’s chirping, Easter, Easter, Easter and the one I suppose is the female answers , eek. Just one little eek. They must be getting ready to mate. Hopefully little birds will soon fill the trees around my deck
With all the trees covered in greenery I can hardly see the apartments beyond my deck which pleases me greatly. I feel like I’m in my own private world.

That is a gorgeous place! Ah yes, it must be mating time . . . we hear various birds too. I wish we had lush greenery between us and the neighbors

@LeaPea2417 I used to love working in My flowers and vegetables then jumping in the swimming pool to cool off. But now I live in an an apartment.

We have such similar tastes in books. I have that one but haven't started it yet.
I love your picture. It reminds me of my childhood as I grew up on a street called Sweetbrook Road and the brook that ran across the street from our house looked just like that.
It's nice when the trees get green and give you privacy.

It is nice here. The trees and creek make it special. you’ll like The Winner. I’m reading a book now that I put aside earlier. I read a few pages and didn’t think I’d like it but I looked at it again and surprisingly it’s a really good book. The Quiet Game by Greg Iles.

@Marilynda1225 So do I. I sit on my deck and read or take my book down to the creek and read there. I could never have too many books but all my shelves are full. My classics I’ll never get rid of but others I trade at the book box at the park.

I'm glad you have your own little private spot among the greenery. I had a doctor's appointment; and then we went out to eat at the Olive Garden.
