Have you seen the Allstate Insurance commercials with the violently abused guy on it they call "Mayhem"? His real name is Dean Winters and you may have seen in him other things besides this commercial. He was in "Rescue Me", "Conspiracy Theory" and "Homicide: Life on the Street" in the '90s. In June 2009 he actually died but, he is feeling better now. He awakes one day with a fever and ended up staying in bed all that day. The next morning he was turning gray. He went to his doctor's office but ended up collapsing. His head was swelling up and he was raced to the hospital where he spent the next three weeks due to a horrific bacterial infection. (On the way to the hospital his heart stopped and for two and a half minutes he was dead.) He underwent 10 operations including the amputation of half a thumb and two toes because he had developed gangrene. He spent 95 days in the hospital that year.
