The Dollar Store

My daughter is manic right now. She usually goes to the dollar store about once a month or so. This month it has been three times. She just got back and got herself some more craft items. She also gets me the best fruit jelly candies. She found Pixy Stix there. Do you remember those? One of the generational candies. I remember them when I was a girl, my daughter loved them as a child and now we have found them again at the dollar store. Even having to pay $1.25 an item is still a good buy.

I don’t care for them. As a special treat for gift bags for Little Miss’s birthday party I bought 2 packages of the sweet treats. The kids were delighted!

I've got Pixy Stix in my closet. I like them once in a while. And yes, I bought them at the Dollar Store.

Yes, the "dollar store" is what we have always called it but that's misleading because everything is actually the $1.25 store now. Many items there are still less expensive than other stores so I am glad for that and still shop there. I do remember pixie sticks. They were fun as a kid. Too sweet for me now though.

Everything goes up. Glad we have so many around here. Family Dollar one way and Dollar Store the other.
