The songs I’ve picked as my favorites from 1962 probably won’t ring the bells that these songs I’m using for the rest of the month will, but that’s okay. It was a pretty good year for music! Teen Age Idol - Ricky Nelson Although Ricky Nelson didn’t write this, he lived it. He went from one of Ozzie and Harriet’s kids to superstardom overnight. And I’m sure we truly don’t have “no way of knowing how lonesome” that kind of life is. Think about it: Elvis died alone. Michael Jackson died alone. Prince died alone. Their “friends” were their prescription drug dealers. Nelson didn’t die alone, but he did die young, leaving us memories of an underrated singer.
