Mom Had A Stroke

Right when I started writing again, my 77 year old mom has a stroke. She’s okay. She spent 3 days in the hospital more for pneumonia than the stroke. Sadly, she has refused any physical therapy and gone right back to smoking! Seems like she’s determined to have a second stroke and there is nothing I can do about it.
Has anyone else dealt with an elderly parent who just will not follow doctor’s orders and take care of themself?

That's a shame that your mother won't do anything to help herself. As you say, there is little you can do about it.
