She is going back to her house in the South soon and she came to say goodbye. She told me that she had some black beans enough for us and that she did not care for a special lunch as she only wanted to see me. I had some pork chops and was boiling 2 small potatoes so we had quite a good meal. She also brought bananas and oranges to have as desert for us. She came home very pissed with her sons because none of them were very interested with her and she made dinner and they had other plans. I reminded her that that was the mother´s role always. My 2 daughters come to me more often when they have problems. I don´t mind. Such is life.

Good that your daughter could spend time with you before returning home.

We enjoyed the time we spent together and she ate a lot better than if she had stayed alone at her house.

She hates Santiago. She is much happier now that she has what I call her "Little house on the prairie".

I think my sister summed it up quite well. We spend 20 years nurturing our children so they can fly free. In other words we work ourselves out of a job. That doesn’t mean they don’t come back for help and or advice. It means we have taught them to be self sufficient.

Kids all over the world are very similar I think although our two boys get in touch much more often since the pandemic has been on.

My daughters too. But I think that it is because some of their social life has not been possible.

My family is attached to me. The last time my grandson Daniel came for lunch (he stayed the whole day) he told me that his friends were surprised that he was so happy going to visit grandma.

You are so right, my niece comes to me ONLY when she has problems.

I think that's the way it is everywhere. They will probably be different when they get older.

It feels really good when you're children visit you at home and you spend time with them

I like your attitude on the way you look at life. You're practical and liberated.
