Even though the name of ice hockey player Kris Foucault is not well known in North America since he is now playing ice hockey in Europe, Kris is being credited for being in the right place when Kris and his relatives were visiting the Bahamas when on May 10 at the north shore in Nassau when he heard persons at Cabbage Beach screaming for someone to assist a six year old girl who was in danger of drowning. Kris who wanted to join the Canadian Coast Guard in case his career as an ice hockey would not become a reality use his swimming skills to jump into the ocean and he managed to get the girl out of the ocean with the help of another man where a lifeguard use CPR to revive the girl who was knocked out by the time Kris found her in the ocean. After the young girl woke up from her brush with death after the lifeguard used CPR to revive her, she hugged her mom and cried before she was taken to a local hospital where she is expected to a full recovery. She did not have a chance to thank Kris for saving her life though. Kris who was raised in Calgary is a fan of the motion picture "The Guardian" when he was younger. When he saved the girl from drowning at Cabbage Beach, his dream of saving a life based on the story of the movie became a reality. My respects to Kris for being a good sport as well as a human being.

No need for celebrity as far as saving lives is concerned.

That is true. Not all sports stars are selfish and ungrateful.

He is such a nice guy, very few people put their lives in danger to save others' life. I salute him.

You are right since a lot of persons who do rescues have children of their own and do care for the welfare of a stranger in need.

My pleasure to share these kinds of stories since ice hockey players have to be tough to handle taking hits from their opponents on the ice.
