Corona

It seems like so many are getting it these days. Those that escape getting that are lucky. I took the test the other day. They use something to swab your mouth and then one to do both noses. I did it because I was not feeling well and was not sure it was my rhinitis or corona. Thank heavens it came back negative. I wear a mask when I leave my apartment whether it is to throw out the garbage or go out. I got all of my shots and will continue trying to dodge people when outside. I am relieved I did not get it. How I felt was bad enough. I thought one night I had bronchitis again because my cough was so bad and I have an air purifier but someone messes with all my things so not sure if it is that or just because of the weird weather we are having. Take care all and stay safe. For those that are unfortunate to get it I hope it goes away fast and for those still that are still lucky not to get it then stay safe and hope it goes away by the end of summer so we can have our lives back.

Good for you, you still haven't been infected. Ironically, in my place, the cases seem to be on a downtrend for now. We just had our national elections and many people went out to cast their votes, and during the campaign period there were lots of political rallies that were filled with supporters but the cases did not rise as expected by medical experts. Hopefully, it stays like this although the past few days they reported a rise in new cases it was still manageable as our hospital is not inundated with new cases. Situation here is going back to normal slowly, we are still required to wear a face mask whenever we are out but most activities have been opened up already and people can freely move around unlike in the past year or so.

@rsa101 Thank you and I am relieved. Here they lifted the ban on wearing masks on the airplane I believe I read. We have gotten people coming in with something to do with the corona. Here people do not have to wear masks outside either and not so sure inside. I wear a mask outside and also if I do not know the person that comes here inside. I still do not feel comfortable with people around and wear my mask till I know for sure it is gone and does not return. I have no idea when that will be.

@Hannihar Most of the restrictions we had have been lifted now except for the wearing of face masks when we are outside and in crowded places. That is the only restriction that remains to this day. I think that helps in stopping the infections from spreading since the only way the virus survives is if they are able to enter the mouth nose and eyes.

@rsa101 When I took the test for it they swabbed the mouth and both nostrils of my nose. People still gather in groups and most do not wear a mask either inside or outside. I still wear one and prefer to stay as far away from people that I can. Some are nice to stand back from me and others just do not care and are snotty and have no respect and it seems like they could care less if I get sick or not. I do care.

Even if it's no more mandatory, I always wear my mask when I go out. The virus is still around. I hope you feel better today, take care.

@LadyDuck I think we have one or two cases here. I have never heard of it till they mentioned it on the news that I go to online. I can understand why you would wear disposable gloves and that is a good idea. I thought I should carry something so do not touch handles with my bare hands.

Glad your test was negative. It feels like we are stuck with this problem for a while longer.

I don't think the virus will ever be fine completely. I've not had it but I don't consider it to be luck. I done wear a mask any more and still need both booster shots. I'm around people all day and I believe that's what keeps me safe. Thanks for mentioning your sure purifier. That reminded me to put towels into the dryer for later.

@Hannihar lol, I have a dehumidifier in the laundry room that still needs to be plugged in for the summer. Your mentioning your air purifier reminded me of my needing to clean the air filter of my dehumidifier and then I remembered my laundry. It's a process of one thought leading to another sometimes in a circuitous route.

@MarshaMusselman Thank you for explaining what you meant to me. Does the dehumidifier help? Don't you use it in the winter? How often do you have to clean your dehumidifier?

@MarshaMusselman I believe it will never be the same if the virus ever leaves us. I want to stay away from people and feel safer to be away from people. You are welcome for mentioning the air purifier. I am confused but what does an air purifier have to do with towels that have to be put in the dryer?

There are now quite a few in our village that have the virus so we are dodging everyone as best we can.

@Kandae11 I can understand that. I have no idea who most of these people are and it is very sad that they cannot show respect for others.

@JudyEv I do not blame you for keeping away from the people. I also try to stay away from others when I am outside so I do not get sick.

I don't think it will go away completely. It will always be around like a very bad cold.
