@RubyHawk My son told me that the competition would be stiff playing the kids from Finland, Norway, and Slovenia before they went to Europe. The best thing is that my grandson made a lot of new friends from many countries.

@RasmaSandra Yes, I have 4 different tomato varieties and some small pickling cukes. They grew well on my deck last summer, so I hope they do even better in my garden. Thanks. I’m so pooped and am sitting down for the first time today. Feels soooo good.

All I can say is thank you and wish a happy Memorial Day to you, too. In between, I will rest and tend to my veggies and flowers. Hopefully, the trees will be down by tomorrow or Tuesday. The noise is unbearable.

@DaddyEvil Ugh! I’m having trees taken down before they fall on the house. Those branches alone can do a lot of damage. Storm or no storm, the slightest breeze knocks twigs and tree gunk all over the place. I refuse to discuss the pollen.

I am glad it's the weekend. I've have been working long weeks, and need a few days off. I love Paris! Do you speak French? I had heard that Parisians are snobs toward Americans who don't speak French. But I found that they treated me nicely just because I spoke a BIT of French. After awhile, our more "detailed" conversations were in English.

I hope you enjoy your weekend and get to unwind. Who doesn’t love Paris? I’ve never had a problem with Parisians except one on our first trip. I forgot to ask her if she spoke English before I asked her a question. Boy, did she let me have it in perfect English!

I can speak the basics, It’s funny, because when I try out my French, they want to try out their English.

That’s our older so , his wife, and my grandchildren. The work on the lawn has been going on for over one month now. It should be completely mostly by next week. What a job it turned out to be.
