Neighbor's Grandson Graduation

My neighbor's grandson graduated last night. He was so very proud. Such a happy time for the entire family. Bittersweet moments as well. My neighbor's wife passed four years ago to cancer. Her birthday is Monday. She knew she would not see her grandson graduate. They were very close. But they spent many years together before she passed. Lots of happy memories were made. We live for the memories. Be sure to make lots of them.

@CarolDM You know he's there to put his arm around his Mama today, he wouldn't want you to feel sad.

@CarolDM My son wore his hair down to his waist-line, I never said a word about it. One fine day, Chad got it cut short and he never looked back:) Then, everyone's issue was his tattoos, there will always be something people find to knit pick about.

You have no idea how many conversations have been made about his hair. Here is the deal Martin. He is 18 and his girlfriend loves his hair. He will understand as he matures… hopefully.

Don't you have to go to College before you go to Medical School? "Such a happy time for their family. He will be leaving for college soon. Going to medical school."

@CarolDM I was confused. What university is he going to? He MAY not have to declare a major for a year or two. I changed mine a couple of times.

They look so proud there. A a real bittersweet moment. I am going through that one right now. My elder daughter is graduating from her High school in June and is ready to leave for college to another city in July end. You are right that we live for memories

Bittersweet memories for sure. I think all the time about how things were when my husband and I were young. Now we both need help. I'm glad we have each other.
