Good evening from this side of the planet . It's 7:40 PM here as I write this post. It's pouring with cool breeze outside and I am enjoying it Not much appetite for dinner and it's already past dinner time. Maybe I will have it later when I feel a bit hungry. Last day of the month is about to get over in few hours. I planned to spend a lot of time here and add some more to my bank. But then destiny had other plans. The day was weird and there is an interesting story to share. It started well in the morning. Cooked and packed husband to office, did my morning yoga and breathing exercises, got ready, took my key and walked my younger daughter to the gate of our premise and helped her book auto with her new friend to go to Pre University for some team building activities. They are keeping some warm up sessions for students and teachers to get bonded with each other before the formal classes begin from June 9. The session was for two hours. Came back home and tried to open my door to realise that the key that I took was of my husband's bike and not my house. My elder one was sleeping inside. She reads in the night time and goes to sleep early in the morning. I kept ringing the doorbell and calling her on her mobile, but all in vain. Her mobile was on don't disturb mode and the doorbell and landline ring fell deaf on her sleeping ears. My sweet neighbour came out and offered me to come inside and have coffee with her. I obliged. Again after half an hour, I came back to try calling and ringing, but it didn't work. I didn't want to go back to my neighbour as she works from home and I didn't want to disturb her. I came down to find my doctor friend walking. I joined her and we chatted while waking. After an hour, she had to leave for her hospital shift. I came back again to my home and tried all way to wake my daughter again but all in vain. I went down to clubhouse and sat outside for a while enjoying the landscape and few enjoying swimming pool. I wish I had my swimming suit to enjoy or at least I had my eyeglasses to mylot on phone to kill time My younger daughter called. She came back and we tried the ringing bell and calling exercise again. By the time it was 12:30 and my stomach started to growl. I was hungry and so was my younger daughter. I realised that I had missed my breakfast too. I wish I had my car key instead of my husband's bike that I can't ride. We walked two kilometres to our nearest restaurant. I ordered for dosa and my younger one got noodles. We had our meal and got noodles packed for my elder one. We killed some time in the restaurant and they were okay with it. Being a weekday, it was not crowded and so we could keep the table engaged for long. Luckily I had my mobile phone and I could pay them through phone wallet . Then we called home and luckily this time it was picked by my elder daughter. . She woke up around 1:45. We rushed back home walking the two kilometres again. Once back home, I was too tired with all this fiasco. Five unproductive hours outside home and I walked for almost two hours or more I asked my daughters to pack the cooked lunch from morning and keep it in fridge. I was so tired that I crashed on my sofa and woke up after 3 hours. So, a day planned to be indoors and mylotting went in some direction not planned . Well, that's life. Good that I have enough lunch leftovers to save me from cooking dinner and I can stary here for a while. Still few hours for the month to end. Moving on to the notifications. I don't want to carry notifications from this month to next . Have a good time in your mylot corner

That certainly does sound like your day got off on the wrong foot (so to speak). You certainly found a way to spend the time locked out and I bet from now on you'll double check that you have the right key when you leave the house.

@arunima25 yes at least it all ended well. Did your daughter feel bad that she didnt hear the doorbell or her phone while you were locked out?

You're doing well with your notifications. Sometimes I couldn't finish them and they're accumulating.

That happens with me too. I try to finish them regularly so that they don't accumulate and become overwhelming. But then at times it's not possible to get done with all of them. If it's accumulated then you might have to skip reading and responding to new posts and writing one for a day and devote all your mylotting time to clear notifications.

Oh! So unfortunate that you had to spend your time outside your home. Thank God the weather was cool and you didn't have to bear the heat.

I was bit frustrated as I did not have my eyeglasses. Else I could sit out in the clubhouse and mylot. Anyway it turned out to be some sort of fun. I could catch up a walk with my doctor friend after so long and enjoyed coffee and chatting with my neighbour. We don't get chances to do so due to our busy schedule.

It was bit frustrating. But then I did enjoy my coffee with my neighbour, lunch outside and a walk with my friend. So, there is a silver lining there

Well, what a day you & your other daughter had. You got sy nice visits, thought, and wow excercising!! I've locked myself out too. When my Mom was alive, all I had to do was ring my doorbell and got a but if scolding. Luckily, got, resident manager with key...but, I double check before closing my door now.

It was enough exercising yesterday and I could feel my legs in the night . I guess I have finished my quota of walking exercise for a while. Today I took a complete break from my exercise I have learnt my lesson to double check if I am carrying the right key. Carrying any key doesn't help unless it's the right one

Well, I guess you made the most of your locked out day. I got locked out a few weeks ago, but there is a window here that doesn't lock so I was able to crawl through that to get in.

That's good. I just hope that the window secret is not known to strangers. That might be a security threat. I stay in a penthouse and that's on the top floor of the building. It's on fourth floor. If it was ground floor, there could have been possibility of trying something like that

@arunima25 No, they are not. No one comes up here that is not authorized but besides that it looks locked from the outside.

When you posted this discussion there were officially 14½ hours left to earn for this month according to the myLot earning algorithm, which makes all calculations according to the USA Central time zone.

May was good here. Though I was not much active here, there were some really good days here and those days made me earn well I hope that you were not locked out for long. I have learnt my lesson hard way that I should double check my keys before leaving the house

Yes, and a few lessons learnt the hard way. Check twice for the correct key and never leave home without eyeglasses. If I had them I could mylot on my phone and use the time better. It was some trouble, but also fun in a different way

Oh goodness, that would have been so frustrating. We have a spare key hidden outside now as we locked ourselves out of the house in the first few days we were here.

I was a bit frustrated in the start and blamed myself for not carrying the right key. At least if I had my eyeglasses, I could sit in the comfort of our clubhouse and done some mylotting. We have one extra key with one of our neighbours. They mostly stay at home due to their age and that's why I gave it to them. But yesterday they went out for few hours to see their son Well, it turned out to be some fun. But not in a way I planned or would like to have again

Wow! that must have been so frustrating, but most times things happen for a reason - even though we may not know the reason. At least you are at home now and can relax.
