2022 Health Journey - June 3rd

I am trying to get back into sharing these daily - even when I don't do well or stick to my plan. Today I did not stick to my low carb meals. However, I did work out. I ended the day with over 13,000 steps! I did over an hour and half of Just Dance. After that spent some time outside helping my mom clean out her yard near her fence. Then played with water guns with Eli. Weigh in - I went down to 183 from 183.4 yesterday Blood sugars? I only checked those a couple times because I had an issue with my continuous glucose monitor. Sometime in the night I guess it failed...so I had to take it off. Waiting to put a new one on until I get something that I know will help it stayed on. If you have a CGM what do you use to help keep it on? What did I eat? I will not have the macros or anything...but I can still share. Meal 1 - Taco bell 1 soft taco, 1 burrito and some cinnamon twists. I did workout right after that meal. Meal 2 - Pasta with tuna and a cheesy breadstick Dessert - a little bit of ice cream (not low carb this time) Meal 3 - 6 chicken nuggets and a few potato rounds Yes, I know not low carb at all...and way worse than yesterday. We'll see how the scale is in the morning; as well as my blood sugar. What do you think?

You are trying to your best and that's what matters. Maintaining a journal is always good whether you do well or not. You have a record to see later and analyse. I check my sugar once in a day at varying time. Today I will check it post lunch. My sugar last night after dinner was 132.

But I am not on some days....that is the problem. That's good to check it at least once a day at a different time... 132 blood sugar is not too bad....

@MommyOfEli2013 It's not bad at all. I am happy if it stays within 160.. I don't go too hard on myself

@arunima25 Well that is good to hear....and my doctor would be happy as long as I was under 160. Me, I don't like it to be over 100 lol

Don't let one day drag you down - its just a day in a lifelong journey. That's what I do - the 'oh well, now I've blown it' thinking. You are doing the right thing - you are tracking and OWNING those blips - tomorrow is another day - breakfast is another meal.

You should try at least not to have more than one food high in carbs on the same meal, pasta and bread sticks both are loaded with carbs.

@MommyOfEli2013 I had carbs yesterday, but I tend to eat what I like during the weekends. Two days a week is not a total disaster.
