I have a wedding to attend later today

So I took the day off from work. Right now I'm doing laundry and baking a roast I cooked in the air fryer yesterday. It was very tasty but a little undercooked. The pic will be the beef roast and eggplant from last night's meal.
The wedding is for a young lady that grew up with my daughters. She was in their wedding party when they got married. Her mom began babysitting my girls when they were all very young and her mom and I became fast friends.
Unfortunately, her mom died about four years ago from cancer from smoking.
The wedding is at 4:30 on today and we may leave an hour before to make sure we're not late. It's in the next city over and we've never been to that side of town before. There will be a reception following the service which one is my daughter's is officiating. There might be dancing but no DJ.

It's sunny and supposed to be around 77. It might cool down in the evening but not as low as last night when it got down into the forties.

That seems a bit late for a wedding to start.
The roast looks good but I dont like air fryers anymore.
Oh I hope you have a nice time at that wedding..Id love to go to a wedding.

@RebeccasFarm I live in my home town but all my relatives have been married since I was young and my friends my age are single again. Plus I don't spend much time with them these days so if they were getting married I doubt I'd be invited

@snowy22315 I don't consider these times to be any more depressing than other times in my life. Even with the higher gas prices and prices for food in doing better financially than I ever have. I also believe that God will provide if I use our money wisely.

Had we stayed longer I may have tried to dance but the songs being played were different to me. My girls did dance while we were there but they were going to get some line dancing in which usually brings more dancers, at least the women into the dance floor.
They started longer than we did so I don't know if that ever happened or not.

Enjoy the wedding. The girl must be looking forward to you on her wedding day. I wish her mom was there on this special day. But sure she is watching her and blessing her from her heavenly abode. Wishing the newly weds a happy marriage.

I don't worry to much about staying safe. I think if I were to get COVID that would have happened already.

@luisga814 I'm around multitudes of people every day. My Some wear masks some don't. I don't. I believe my immune system is doing it's job. I generally don't get the normal flues either. I don't get a cold every year either although I do have allergies and sinus problems from time to time.

It was rather cool and I was cold the whole time but the food was good and the wedding went well. We had a nice time. We left before dark but my girls wanted to dance so they stayed longer.

@Kandae11 a heavier sweater wouldn't have been so nice looking. I could have borrowed a friend's sweater but decided to wear what I bought instead. Had I work the friends sweater I would have been warm enough I think and not everyone there was dressed up as I thought they would be.
