My daughter and I had the greatest conversation a while ago. We had both been thinking of the same person lately and we came to grips with why that might be happening. We laughed. We cried and we came together on so many levels. It was such a good feeling. A real feeling of joy and of the coming together of two minds. When was the last time you had something like this happen to you with a family member or close friend?

My daughter and I have been close the last few years. That was not the case back when she was a teen. She hadn't been diagnosed correctly so we were at odds a good portion of the time. Some bad stuff went down back then. We are closer than we have ever been now. The other night was a really nice experience after so many times it was just the opposite in the past.

@celticeagle - I was closer to my mother aging. Mon was stubborn and bossy and it did not go very well when I was young. After I got married and moved out we had a better relationship.

@LadyDuck ......That is sort of what happened with me and my mom. She was so bossy and had to be into everything. I had to get away and so she and I were sort of estranged for a while until I was strong enough to stand up to her.

I'm glad you and your daughter had some bonding. It always happens when my husband and I talk about things in our past.
