On this hot day, I arrived early at Big Lots to wait for Allie to show up before my shift started. Since we didn't know what my next assignment was for the day, I resumed merchandise recovery in the back end from where we left off with grocery and all the way to furniture and toys. Though I had expected to learn something new all this week, I can hope that things might change and turnaround tomorrow and the rest of this week to complete my training at Big Lots.
I did meet Victoria this morning before my break to take care of paperwork and to get paid via a staffing company that works with Hattie Larlham. I had no success with temp agencies in the past, but I put my trust on them for this two-week deal to hopefully learn something new everyday in retail and later in food service.
Though Maggie texted Allie this morning during our shift about my second job assessment in food service for next week, I called my bus company during my break to check in with them on the address. And it turned out they didn't go that route. So Allie would let her know as I wait to find out about it this week about next week if possible. I just hopefully it would go as planned, like I talked to Jamie and Victoria about during my intake meetings with them, to do one station a day to learn a task and not be stationary in one place for my work period.
I'll keep you posted on the latest and be back tomorrow afternoon to check in with posts and notifications.
