A good neighbor who lives in Ottumwa Iowa did his part to be the lookout for the welfare of his neighbor on Friday afternoon when a house fire that began due to an electrical failure started a house fire the destroyed the home. At the time of the fire, the five family members who were not home would have suffered heartbreak since the family dog was inside of the home had not been rescued by the good neighbor who saw smoke rising from the home would have been killed. The good news is that no one suffered any injuries in the tragic incident that destroyed the home. The family who lost their family home will be given a temporary home to live in courtesy of the American Red Cross until they can find a new home.

Losing everything is tragic but thankfully the dog is safe. They're so lucky the neighbor saw the fire and rescued their dog.

That is great that the dog was saved. Now they have their whole family even if the house is gone.

It would be awful to lose your home. And nearly as bad to lose a family pet in a fire.
