The rosebay and the jasmine are the most common flowers in India. They are famous for their fragrance. The rosebay stands for purity and in usually used to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. I too offer them at the feet of Lord Shiva regularly in my prayer room. The jasmine flower is actually said to be adorned by the beauties of heaven to enchant the Lords of heaven. Its the favourite of Lord Krishna too who is said to have have enticing looks in our religious scriptures. It's also the favourite of Godess Lakshmi who is said to be the most beautiful and gentle Godess of heaven. No doubt when a woman is gentle and manages a home well she is compared to Godess Lakshmi in India.

I don't know what you call the rosebay in Rajasthan. In Bengali we call it the 'tagar'. The women in India have to prove themselves Lakshmis and Annpurnas.

Jasmine used to be very common here. It has a very nice fragrance. Rosebay is called rhododendron here. It's a nice smelling flower, too.

@Nakitakona Yes, we do practice. I offer the rosebay to Lord Shiva and jasmine to Lord Krishna and Goddess Lakshmi.
