Silly me! So, yesterday when I was coming back from the city, I was in a rush to get back here, so much so, that I missed my turn and ended up miles out of the way!. That was awful, because I couldn't find any cheap gas down there, and figured I would get some up here. So I did put about a gallon in which under normal circumstances with the right route would have been fine, but like I said, I missed my turn and ended up adding 5 or 6 miles to my trip.. Now, roomie is going to have to take me to the station to fill a gas can. I don't think I have enough to get to the station.. What a disaster. Examples of haste makes waste, and pennywise and pound foolish! That was certainly me yesterday. In retrospect, I should have bit the bullet and hung out in that long gas line at Costco. Did you ever end up rushing and doing something stupid?

Rushing really can be counter productive. I hated that that happened. Thank God my frozen yogurt bars didn't melt

That would be annoying to have to take a can to get some gas.

Rushing does no good. It's usually for one's disadvantage. I always prepare in advance. If I'm unable to do it and caught flat-footed, I have to bear it.
