Maine Capital Police Officer Gary Boulet was on his work assignment in Augusta Maine on Friday late afternoon near a psychiatric hospital when a hospital employee to ask him to check on the condition of two males who were out cold inside of their auto on a road.
When Officer Boulet checked on the condition of the two males who were out cold inside of their convertible, he began to use his first aid skills in an attempt to revive them since both males have taken drugs that caused them to have trouble breathing.
Officer Boulet used Narcan to revive one of the two males who appeared to have been stricken by a heart attack
The heart attack victim did revive while the other overdose drug victim did not need Narcan to revive.
Thanks to the actions of Officer Boulet, two males whose names were not released were taken to a local hospital to be treated and released.
What caused the two males to overdose on drugs in Augusta near a mental hospital is not known at this time.
I am sure that the two males who the officer saved from dying from a drug overdose did thank him for being their guardian angel even though a hospital employee did inform the officer of the two males were asleep inside of their auto while the officer was on his work shift during the late afternoon.
