No Tour in the Neighborhood: Why?!?

In my neighborhood, there are so many scrawny stray cats roaming around. Some of them are not tired of bringing kittens in this world. Since we came here three years back, we noticed this and thinking that they were neighbors' whiskers. It was not the case, so no touring of visitors in the area because of this reason. I feel ashamed of showing my place. Are you fond of touring your visitors around the neighborhood? Image Credit: art.ebsqart.com

We don't have that problem here. Stray dogs and cats are caught and taken to the city pound. If they aren't claimed by someone within a month, they're euthanized. (Anyone who claims one of these animals is subject to fines for allowing their pet to roam freely. It's a very good incentive to keep pets inside the house, on a leash or chained in a yard.)

We do have a city pound but only dogs are being caught instantly. However, euthanized is not practiced for these dogs. If they were not claimed, they are ready to be adopted and find new homes for them.

@Shavkat People here don't bother adopting dogs from the pound. People will give dogs and cats away for free, so there is no market for them.

@DaddyEvil I am open to this idea. All my dogs are adopted here.

I don’t take visitors on a tour. We visit in my apartment. I see one stray cat here. Sometimes when I go in or out I dee it under the hedges

Since I am not close to my neighbors, touring around is not a good idea. I hope they could just control female whiskers' reproduction system.

@Shavkat Here animal control would pick them up.

I usually don't notice them that much. They are usually visiting people here.

See if the neighbors would help getting them fixed.

I agree. I think I need to talk with my landlady about it.

Malu's idea is a good one. Sometimes they have a day where vets offer their services free and anyone can take in cats to be sterilised.

I agree that it is a good idea. I hope these doctors of animals are open to pro bono.

This is not a healthy situation for the cats. I hope they will be spayed and neutered one day.

I agree. I hope I could find a pack of veterinarians to do these procedures.
