Penzey's, Been There Done That

I do not discount one bit that I appreciate the business that Bill Penzey of Penzey's spices has built. I actually opened my Adobo yesterday to make dinner with and I have to say it is a good seasoning.
I am absolutely certain that the other ones I got which I have not tried yet will be equally as good.
The experience in the store, though, was quite weird. I really did not enjoy that part of it at all. The staff was weird, the people in the store were weird, the whole experience just left much to be desired.
But that's because Bill Penzey is not only a liberal, die hard to the core, he's also a very hateful man. They wanted me to sign up for his email and I told the woman point blank that I wanted no part of the hateful garbage Bill spews—this despite the word "love" plastered all over the place.
There is nothing of love whatsoever about this foul man.
I spent my gift card, thanked them, and immediately vowed to never return and even if I like the spices, will never replace them with more. I have better things to do with my money than spend it in a place that lines the pockets of a narcissist nut job the likes of Bill Penzey.

Maybe Bill Penzey and Mike Lindell hang out together and argue politics. Now wouldn't that be a funny sight to see!

@PhredWreck At one point Bill Penzey throws salt in Mike's eyes and he smacks him in the head with a pillow. Penzey steps up the game with some cayenne pepper and Mike readies up a pair of slippers to whack him in the ears.

@porwest They should televise that to the American people. The new format of political debates. The winner gets to install his candidate of choice into the White House. It would be epic American tv.

Sometimes we just have to be good stewards of our money. I wouldn't give him any of my money either, no matter how good his spices were.

As Anne Lappe once said, "Every dollar you spend casts a vote for the kind of world you want to live in." I do not often believe in nor engage in boycotts, but this one is different for me in the same way Citgo has been. I have not used a Citgo for more than 20 years.

@porwest What did Citgo do? I boycotted Target for a long time when they quit having separate bathrooms for men and women.

@1creekgirl Citgo is owned by the Venezuelan government and at the time I was not a fan of Hugo Chavez. I still do not have any interest in supporting that country. None of the money goes into the hands of the people.

Not going to lie--I'm disappointed that you didn't get the pork chop seasoning. The only one I've used that you bought is Mural of Flavor. I got that one free as part of one of the political promos in the past couple of years. I forget the other one I suggested. . . I think Justice. (also got that one free) I don't think I've ever had the Forward one though.
